Events
We regularly host and participate in events. Here’s what’s coming up
Danika Armytage and Big Stories Little Films are proud to support and participate in a range of educational, community, charity, and industry events.
Danika Armytage, an experienced television producer and director and founder of Big Stories Little Films, regularly presents at events exploring storytelling, legacy, and intergenerational history on film.
Drawing on more than 20 years working in television and documentary production, Danika brings a unique perspective on storytelling shaped by decades of interviewing people from every walk of life.
She delivers talks and workshops for business leaders, community groups, retirement communities and to students, creating sessions that are accessible, thoughtful and grounded in real storytelling practice.
Though the audiences for her workshops vary, the goal of all her presentations is the same: to invite people to look at their story through the lens of film — to distil complexity into meaning, recognise its value, and record what matters most as something enduring.
Bespoke workshops and presentations are available for organisations and communities.

Testimonials
“Inner West Council Library and History have hosted multiple workshops with Danika Armytage from Big Stories Little Films. I can confidently say her workshops are among the most impactful for filming and documenting your family history. Danika brings over 20 years of experience as an award-winning television producer - having worked on major productions like The Block and Big Miracles - which translates into a professional and seamless delivery that is rare in community settings.
The program goes beyond technical skills; it fosters a sense of reminiscence and legacy. From a coordinator’s perspective, seeing participants leave with the tools to preserve their family history for future generations is incredibly rewarding.”
