Meet Our 7 Finalists: A Week of Powerful Stories
Last week, we announced one finalist each day as part of our Free Legacy Film Competition — and today, we’re proud to introduce all 7 finalists in one place.
What we loved most about all of the the nominations we received from around Australia was their incredible variety. There are nominations for films which would celebrate one person’s life — like Rina Wilcox who is about to turn 100 years old, and Greg Parker, founder of the Ballarat Wildlife Park who would suit our Life Legacy Film package. There are couple stories, like Rabbi Yaakov and his wife Toby Lieder, who soon celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and would suit our Couples Story Package. There are films dedicated to children, like the inspiring Sarah Kelly’s nomination, and even nominations to honour someone who has passed — such as Deborah Hyde, lovingly nominated by her sister Bronwyn Rees.
Later this week, we’ll be announcing one winner to receive a professionally produced legacy film, and we look forward to sharing that incredibly deserving story with you.
These nominations have been a powerful reminder of just how meaningful a legacy film can be — whether to honour a milestone, celebrate a relationship, or preserve a story for future generations.
